Entrepreneurship in the Middle East and Africa: Agri-Tech in Tanzania

Mashora Podcast

In this podcast series, Mashora Group speaks to entrepreneurs across the region. Our goal is to shed light on some of the business ideas that are emerging in the Middle East and Africa.

We discuss the challenges that entrepreneurs face and the support available to them. Our guests highlight the creativity and resilience required to succeed. Some of their accounts address the unique challenges of state fragility and conflict.

This episode zooms-in on a new agri-tech business in Tanzania, called Ninayo. Ninayo helps Tanzanian farmers to distribute and sell their products more efficiently.

Ninayo’s founder, Jack Langworthy, discusses how he managed to build his business. He shares his personal “resilience tricks” and explains how he secured funding. Jack also highlights existing innovations and emerging business opportunities in Tanzania.
