Mike is an experienced political risk and environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) analyst. He has specialist knowledge of Sub-Saharan Africa. Mike’s work includes research and analysis of ESG issues, portfolio screening, and responsible investment policy development. Mike has worked for three of the top political and global risk consultancies in the UK.
Maria is a sustainability professional. She has previously worked in ESG due diligence in a consulting capacity in East and West Africa. Her focus of work is within multi-disciplinary projects of sustainability and surrounding issues such as sustainable finance and Climate Change. She holds the ESG Investing certificate from the CFA UK.
Tarek is an experienced investment professional with expertise on ESG integration, sustainability strategy and executive level governance. Tarek has a strong background in capital markets, developing client solutions through new market structures and regulatory change. He holds the CFA UK Certificate in ESG Investing and the Cambridge CISL Sustainable Finance programme.
David has over 20 years of professional experience in the field of public-private partnerships (PPP). He has worked with the World Bank on multiple PPP projects, including in the Middle East, and has contributed to developing the UN’s “people first” PPP principles.
Dr. Stephen Rosenbaum
Dr. Rosenbaum is an economist with a PhD in business economics. He is currently Associate Professor and Director of the MBA programme at the University of Southern Denmark, and Visiting Professor at various top business schools around the world.
Adebodun, a former McKinsey Consultant, has years of project experience across a range of industries in both the public and the private sector. He has specialist knowledge across Africa. He is an MBA graduate from Harvard Business School.
Njeri is a seasoned investment professional with a particular focus on the East African market. Njeri has a strong background in debt finance and portfolio management with a focus on sourcing and origination of impact opportunities. She has worked in the UK and Kenya.
Ian is an oil & gas professional. He has significant experience providing energy and geopolitical analysis and market intelligence to a C-level audience. Ian has practical knowledge of energy and geopolitics throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Michael is a MENA political risk expert with over 25 years experience, much of it in the energy and natural resources sector. He creates and implements strategic approaches to political risk and government affairs issues, leads advocacy campaigns and manages stakeholder engagement.
Paula is based in Lebanon, where she has worked with both private and public sector actors in the field of political risk analysis. Paula is experienced in developing and conducting risk mitigation strategies, including the drafting of risk matrices and other conceptual tools.
Dr. Lu is an international relations scholar with a PhD in Politics at University of Oxford. He has conducted field missions to Syria, Lebanon, Colombia, Venezuela and Myanmar, on conflict mediation and post-conflict building, and researching China’s emerging role in conflict-affected regions.
Safa has on the ground development experience. She has worked in some of the most fragile and difficult contexts. In Yemen, she has managed projects focused on youth and women empowerment, as well as CSO capacity building. She has received international awards for her contribution to the development of Yemeni women.
Entrepreneurship & SMEs
Dana is based in Jordan and Palestine, where she has long conducted qualitative and quantitative fieldwork for the World Bank and the UN. She has considerable expertise in sustainable development, specifically private sector development.

Abdallah is based in Jordan, where he has worked on private sector development for over eight years. He served as a Business Development Officer at the American Chamber of Commerce and has led the EU’s JADE development unit since 2018, which supports SMEs in Jordan.
Jan worked with the Port of Rotterdam Authority for over 35 years. He is an expert in port management, including resilience and emergency preparedness planning, environmental regulations and digitization of ports. Jan has worked on multiple port development projects, including in the Middle East.
